Il y a plus de 70 années, dans la lointaine Pologne, vivait Malka. Mais quand elle est née, ses parents l’ont nommée “Marisha”. Elle habitait dans une maison avec un piano, des rideaux bleus du plafond jusqu’au sol, un chandelier de crystal…
Un jour a eclaté une guerre horrible. Les soldats allemands nazis ont envahi la Pologne. Marisha et sa famille ont dû s’enfuir de leur maison. Durant un an et demi, un tonneau, dans l’étable d’un paysan polonais, est devenu sa maison.
Une actrice-conteuse tisse, à l’aide de papier, pinceaux et ciseaux, poupées, théâtre d’ombres, cubes de bois et beaucoup de paille - l’histoire vraie d’une petite fille, qui grâce à sa naïveté a réussi à surmonter de nombreuses situations difficiles.
La fin de l’histoire est heureuse. Marisha est montée en Israël où elle s'appelle Malka et y a vécu comme une Malca ("Reine" en hébreu) entourée de ses petits enfants

לפני שנים רבות בפולין הרחוקה חיה לה מלכה...
בעצם קוראים לה מלכה, אבל כשנולדה, ההוריה קראו לה מרישה. היא גרה בבית גדול עם פסנתר, מנורת קריסטל ווילונות כחולים מהתקרה לרצפה...
יום אחד פורצת מלחמה נוראית. חיילים גרמנים נאצים כובשים את פולין. מרישה ומשפחתה נאלצים לנוס מביתם עוברים דרך תלאות שבסופם, במשך שנה וחצי, חבית חשוכה, ברפת של איכר פולני - הופכת למרישה לבית.
שחקנית-מספרת טווה בעזרת נייר, מספריים ומכחול, קוביות עץ, בובות, צלליות והרבה קש - סיפור אמתי על ילדה קטנה, שתמימותה מסייעת לה להתגבר על הרבה מצבים קשים שבסופם מרישה - היא מלכה, גרה בישראל, סבתא ל-6 נכדים.
ניתן לקיים את ההצגה בכל חדר מוחשך חלקית.
