ההצגות שלנו מקוריות והינן תוצאה של חקר ממושך ומעמיק 

בנושאים עם רלוונטיות גבוהה לחברה. אנו יוצרים תיאטרון מקצועי ברמה גבוהה, חודר, נוגע, יצירתי ובעל משמעות.  

רוב הצגותינו משלבות משחק ובובנאות.

האיל המרקד הוא התיאטרון המוביל בארץ בתחום הצגות בהשתתפות בובות ענקיות ומהתיאטרונים המובילים בעולם בתחום. הצגותינו הופיעו בפסטיבלים בלמעלה מ 30 מדינות וזכו להכרה בינלאומית רחבה. 

בין מטרותינו, הנגשת תיאטרון ברמה גבוהה ובעל תוכן ועומק לכל אדם. לשם כך אנו יוצאים מגבולות אולם התיאטרון, יוזמים ומשתתפים בפרויקטים רבים בהם הצופים אינם משלמים כרטיס כניסה.

יזמנו ואנו מנהלים אמנותית את פסטיבל 360° לתיאטרון במרחב, המתקיים מדי שנה מאז 2016 בירושלים והפך לפסטיבל משמעותי של עיריית ירושלים.

חלק מההצגות שלנו הן ללא מילים וחלק יכולות להופיע בעברית, ערבית, אנגלית, צרפתית וספרדית. 

אנו מעוניינים בקשר הדוק עם החברה על כל גווניה ויש לנו מופעים המתאימים למגזרים שונים ולצפיה משותפת בין מגזרית.

The Dancing Ram is a Jerusalem based professional theatre with Jewish and Arab, religious and secular artists working creatively together. Our theatre is a form of art of personal and collective expression. Professional theatre of the highest quality that gives the audiences the feeling of creative meaningful inspiring simple action.

All our shows are our own original creations, created collectively by the participating artists.

Many of our shows involve puppetry and most of our artists actors have also a professional puppeteering education.

We see great importance to the choice of our themes, believing that having invited our public to come we have a responsibility to speak from our hearts, about subjects that are dear to us and important for our society. We do our best to make this time meaningful.

We also specialize in site specific theatre. Initiated and run the 360°festival for site-specific theatre in Jerusalem. The festival is supported by the Jerusalem municipality and the ministry of culture. Its aim is to bring theatre out of the venues to the public spaces, and deal with the collective issue of the space we live in. Thus, to create dialog between the usually very separated streams of Jerusalemite groups.

We believe that high quality theatre should be available to everybody, initiate and participate in many programs in which the public gets high quality theatre in available to every pocket price or does not pay a ticket at all. As a Jerusalem based theatre, we are in touch with the different streams of the Jerusalemite society and see part of our role as building bridges. We perform a lot in public outdoor spaces in the different neighborhoods as well as in theatre venues.

In addition to our professional artists, we also run a youth theatre group for joint Jewish and Arab youth,  using their own materials and stories as a basis for creation.  We also have a long-time collaboration with an ultraorthodox women's theatre group.

The Dancing Ram is artistically directed by Adam Yakin.
